Welcome to the SuperFocus getting started guide. SuperFocus lets you save time by quickly summarizing YouTube videos.
SuperFocus supports summarization using ChatGPT 3.5, ChatGPT 4, Claude, Gemini Pro and Advanced.

Install

Install the SuperFocus extension from the Chrome Web Store.

How to Use

Open a YouTube video. For example: open this video →

On the video page, you should see the SuperFocus widget. Click on the widget to open it up.

When you expand the widget, you should see the video transcript with timestamps and the Summarize Video button. Click on it. This will open ChatGPT (by default), and you will get the summary of your YouTube video. You can ask follow-up questions to the AI model to get more information.

SuperFocus Settings

Finally, you can click on the Open Settings button to open up the Settings page. The settings page lets you change the summarization model, language, and other settings.
If you have ChatGPT Plus, you can change the default ChatGPT model to ChatGPT 4 to get the better results.
If you have Google One AI Premium, you can change the default Gemini version to Advanced to get the better results.

Summarize Web Articles & PDFs

SuperFocus can also summarize web articles and PDFs. In the SuperFocus settings page, you can enable the "Show Summary Icon" option.

When you enable this option, you will see a summarize button on the bottom right of the page. Click on this icon to get the summary of the page.
